Welcome

We are a group dedicated to the art of quilting, friendship, and fun!  Our membership is up to 54 members.

Next meeting:  Tuesday September 9, 2008 at 6:30pm

Place:  The Farmington Senior Center (also known as the Nutrition Center)  Directions from Maple Valley Drive/Karsch traffic light turn toward Catfish Kettle on Maple Valley Drive. Go 1 block to Weber Road (4-way stop).  Turn left onto Weber Road.  Go to 607 Wallace Road (4-way stop).  Turn right onto Wallace Road.  Go past Mineral Area Hospital on your left to the Emergency Entrance.  Turn left and drive past the back of the hospital.  The Senior Center is in a separate, new building behind and to the right of the hospital.

Remember your secret quilter friend!  Bring your gifts and cards in a plain bags. Print your friend's name on the bag. Gifts will be distributed during the meeting.

Important announcements: 

The quilting Retreat is scheduled for September 19-20, 2008.  It will be in the fellowship hall of the Methodist Church in Farmington.  Make sure you sign up for classes.  Supply lists are available on the "supplies for Fall Retreat" page.  Also, you will need a yard of fabric to play a game with.

Be working on those projects for the St. Joe Craft Bazaar set for November 15.

The Farmington Senior Center is having a Chicken and Dumpling dinner Saturday September 6 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.  The dinner is sponsored by Modern Woodmen Financial.

Last Meeting:

Our last meeting was held Tuesday, August 12 at 6:30 in the great room of the Farmington Senior Center.  There were a total of 40 present.  Show and Tell pictures are now available at the Kodak website.    www.Kodakgallery.com.

Carol Carney presented the program.  She dimenstrated bobbin work and showed examples.

9 new books added to the library

Officially adopted charity: "A Friend's Place" the battered women's shelter.  Bobby Christopher was named delivery person.  Give your items to her.
